Cybersmart Challenge 11 Term 2 2021

Today me and my class were doing cybersmart it was really easy because it was all about me, the hard thing was what was my hobby. We are learning to promote ourselves positively online by writing a blog profile. This helps people know about us in a postive way. First thing we did was make a copy of the ko wai au secondwas filling in the picture and doing the profile text with positive information about yourself. Prototec Maths Starter Term 2 2021

Today for maths we did a math starter called Prototec. We all had to compare our results with our last weekk results. what i have done to improve more in my protote is that I took my time and tryed to firgured the equations out.  What i did differently was try harder and practices at home with my dad. Mangroves Diorama Term 2 2021

 Today me and my class were doing a diorama about mangroves, sand dunes and bush. we were all put into groups and me and my group were doing mangroves so we started making mangrove in a box. It was super fun. Check my activity down below!

Jesus Ascension Day Term 2 2021

Today me and my class were doing a activity on Jesus Ascension. The acvity was that we had to match some sentences with Column A and Column B. We also had to create a Storyboard of the main ideas happeing leading up to Ascension Day.

Jesus entered Jerusalem - on a donkey 50 days before Ascension day.

On Thursday of the week that followed Palm Sunday - Jesus had his last meal with his apostles

The day after his last supper Jesus - was put to death on  calvary hill. 

Jesus lay in a tomb for 3 days and then God raised him up. 

After his resurrection Jesus showed himself - to his friends and some did not recognise him.

He spent time with his apostles and - told them he was going to return to his father

50 days after Palm Sunday Jesus made it possible for his followers to do the same thing

Because Jesus entered heaven in glory he - was taken by God to share his glory in heaven

My Mothers Day Card Term 2 2021

 Today we had a very special mass. We were celebrating Mother's Day. We had some of our mothers come in and celebrate with us. 

In class this week we made our very own Mother's Day cards. First thing we did was fold a red paper in half then gety a penceil and draw a heart, my teacher cutted stripos of paper, we had to quill the the stirps of paper, put it inside of the heart and put a poem on the inside of the card. 

In my card I wrote Iappreciate my mum becuase she cooks my favourite meal roast pork, potato salad and salad when I am sad or happy.

I know my mum loves me beacuase when I am sad she will come over to me and she will hug me.

I Love my mum because she is the one that put a roof over my head.  

Te Aro Māori Te Reo Māori Term 2 2021

 Today for Māori we were learning about The Māori alphabet (arapū). The alphabet is made up of eight consonants, five vowels and two digraphs. Digraphs are two letters that combine to form one sound. I really liked doing it and it was really easy. It ios important that we have to remmeber the diffrents between the long and short vowels. Check my activity down below! Our Amzing Plants Term 2 2021

Today I watched a video of what plants are. I found out that light energy is used to transform into carbon dixode and water into chemical energy. After I watched the video I wrote down some words I didn'tr know like a glossary. Then I had to find out the meaning of it. There are four words I didn't know the meaning to. Photosynthesis: Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants and certain different organisms transform light energy into chemical energy. During phogtosynthesis in green plants, light energy is captured and used to convert Water. Carbon Dioxide and minerals into oxygen and energy - rich organic compounds. 2

Germanize:  To Germinate or grow 

Meristems:  Meristems are regions of unspecialised cells in plantsthat are cable of cell division. Meristems make unspecialised cells that have the potential to become any type of specialised cell. They are only found in certain parts of the plant suh as the tip of roots and shoots and in between the xylem and phloem. 

Light Energy: Light Energy is used to transform into carbon dioxide, and water into chemical energy.

Sugars: The sugars are used for the plants to grow, to fight insects pests or drought stress. Extra sugars can be put in the storage organs for later use of the plants.
